The project

#Tech4Cambodia is a high educational impact project promoted by Pasiona though which a robotics training is performed. A whole program that includes from mathematics to teamwork. The course is adressed to teachers and students (15-18 years old) of La Llar d'Infants del Món school in Cambodia.

We approach to them the access to technology and also provide them with the necessary skills to face their professional career; to ensure that they can own their future.

Motivation

Better understanding of mathematics, physics and technology, subjects that they usually find boring and with which they feel uncomfortable. Awake their interest through assembling and programming of LEGO robots, technology that they have never seen or handled before.

Developing creativity, imagination, motor and cognitive skills and critical thinking of students. Promoting self-esteem, collaboration, teamwork and empowerment.

Continuity

Sow the seed of a project with a vocation for continuity. The teachers of La Llar d’Infants will be trained to be able to carry on the training throughout the course, trying to incorporating robotics as one more subject in the educational plan.

The results

Al finalizar el programa, realizamos una breve encuesta para conocer la opinión de los participantes. Los resultados nos alientan y nos motivan para seguir el camino de democratizar la tecnologia y ofrecer herramientas que les ayuden a ser dueños de su futuro.

The essence of the project

Our motivation

  • Van Kimnea was born in 1980 in Monkol Baray (province of Banteay Meanchey). She studied managment and began working at la Llar d’Infants del Món in 2005 as an educator. Her love for children, her career, her commitment to the project and her desire to improve his country, have been some of the reasons why Kimnea is nowadays the director of the Llar d’Infants del Món Cambodja

  • Clara Planet was born in Barcelona but coexisted with many cultures. Her multilingual education and its globality from extensive traveling has equipped her with a sense for variety of human interaction around the world. As a Technology lover she’s always looking for new challenges and after teaching robotics in Barcelona during 3 years, she wanted to go a step beyond
